💡 2025 Korea Stay Sale Festa – Travel in Autumn & Winter with Hotel Discounts up to 50,000 KRW
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), together with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), is launching the 2025 Stay Sale Festa from August 20. This nationwide campaign aims to boost domestic travel during the autumn and winter seasons while revitalizing local economies. A total of 800,000 hotel discount vouchers will be distributed, plus an additional 72,000 vouchers for designated disaster areas.
📅 Event Schedule & Discount Benefits
- Autumn Edition & Disaster-Area Edition: Aug 20 – Oct 30
- Winter Edition: Nov 3 – Dec 7
- Non-metropolitan stays (excluding Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon) – 30,000 KRW discount for stays over 70,000 KRW, 20,000 KRW for stays under 70,000 KRW
- Disaster-area stays – 50,000 KRW discount for stays over 70,000 KRW, 30,000 KRW for stays under 70,000 KRW
The discount applies to hotels, resorts, pensions, and condos nationwide. Room-only day-use and unregistered facilities are excluded.
🏞 Expanded Support for Disaster-Affected Regions
The Disaster-Area Edition covers a wider range of areas this year, including wildfire and flood-affected regions as well as those impacted by the Dec. 29 aircraft accident. In total, 33 municipalities across 8 provinces and metropolitan cities will benefit, such as Andong, Yeongdeok, Sancheong, Hadong, and Ulsan Ulju-gun.
🎟 How to Get Your Discount Voucher
Starting August 20 at 10:00 a.m. (KST), vouchers can be claimed through participating Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) on a first-come, first-served basis (1 voucher per person). After issuance, reservations and payments must be completed between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. the next day. Unused vouchers will expire automatically but can be reissued the following day.
