“Which Busan pass should I buy, the new one or the old one?”

The Visit Busan Pass costs KRW 45,000 to KRW 85,000 and covers 34+ attractions. The new K-Tour Pass costs KRW 15,000 and covers 1 of 35, but adds transport coupons worth up to KRW 30,000.

Both passes are sold only to foreign visitors, and both promise free entry to Busan landmarks. They are built for very different trips, though.

Per attraction, the Visit Busan Pass Big 3 and the K-Tour Pass cost exactly the same KRW 15,000

. What you get on top is where they split.

⚠️ The timed pass starts at your first gate

The Visit Busan Pass 24H does not start when you buy it. It starts the moment you enter your first free attraction and runs for 24 hours from there. Enter at 9 a.m. on January 1 and it stays active until 8:59 a.m. the next day. Each attraction can be used once. The mobile version of the Visit Busan Pass has no transit function, so it cannot be used on the subway or bus.

Where the two passes really differ

Price is the obvious difference, but three rules matter more on the ground. They decide whether a pass still works on day three of your trip, whether you can get your money back, and whether it pays for your subway rides.

1

Validity: one year vs a fixed end date

Every Visit Busan Pass is valid for one year from purchase. The K-Tour Pass coupons and mobile ticket end on December 31, 2026.

2

Refund: 180 days vs nothing used

The Visit Busan Pass can be cancelled within 180 days of payment if it has not been activated. The K-Tour Pass is refundable only while no coupon or barcode has been used.

3

Transit: card version vs WOWPASS

Only the physical Visit Busan Pass card works as a transit card. The K-Tour Pass gives you a WOWPASS card that doubles as a T-money card, but you top it up yourself.

Which Busan pass fits your trip

Divide the price by the number of attractions and the picture becomes clear. Big 3 works out to KRW 15,000 each and Big 5 to KRW 13,000 each.

The K-Tour Pass matches Big 3 on price per attraction and still adds the transport coupons

. That makes it the better deal for anyone who only wants one big sight in Busan and is coming down from Seoul by train or bus. The Visit Busan Pass wins once you want several attractions. A busy 24 hours can cover far more than three places, and the choice passes stay usable over a much longer window. Discount networks also differ in size. The Visit Busan Pass lists 150+ discount partners, while the K-Tour Pass lists about 50. Nothing stops you from holding both. Buy the K-Tour Pass for the trip down and the first attraction, then add a Big 3 or a 24H pass if Busan wins you over. Both passes also share one practical rule. Barcodes and QR codes must be shown live on your phone, and a screenshot or printout may be refused at the gate.

📊 Price of each Busan pass

Three passes that let you choose your attractions, from one to five. The jump from the K-Tour Pass to the Big 5 is KRW 50,000.

Buying and collecting also work differently. The Visit Busan Pass is sold on its own official site and app, and a mobile pass is used straight from the app where you bought it. The card version has to be collected at a designated exchange point before your first attraction. The K-Tour Pass is sold through Klook and Hop and Hop, and its barcode lives in the mobile ticket those sellers issue. Timed passes reward speed. The 48H pass costs KRW 30,000 more than the 24H pass for a second day, so it only pays off if you plan two full days of sightseeing. Help is easy to reach for both. The Visit Busan Pass answers on +82 1660 1122 and by live chat, and the K-Tour Pass runs a live chat every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Still deciding? Start from how many attractions you actually want to see, then check the transport you need to reach Busan.
