WOWPASS Card with K-Tour Pass: Pickup and Top-up

“The kiosk gave me a card, but there is no money on it?”

Every K-Tour Pass comes with one free WOWPASS card, picked up at 5 kiosks from Incheon Airport to Busan Station. The card starts at KRW 0, and the payment balance and the T-money transit balance are topped up separately.

That last detail catches people at the subway gate. The card works in shops across Korea and on buses and trains, but

money you load for shopping does not move to the transit side on its own

. Here is how to get the card and make both halves work.

WOWPASS with K-Tour Pass at a glance

Free with any K-Tour Pass. Pick up at K-Tour Pass kiosks in Incheon Airport, Gimpo Airport, Seoul Station, Busan Station and Gimhae Airport with your passport and 8-digit voucher number. No starting balance. Prepaid payment card plus T-money transit card. Card usable for up to 6 years from manufacture. Lost card reissue KRW 4,000.

Where to pick up your WOWPASS card

The card is optional. You decide whether to collect it, and the rest of the K-Tour Pass works without it. If you want it, look for a kiosk marked for the K-Tour Pass rather than an ordinary WOWPASS machine. You will need your passport and the 8-digit reservation voucher number from your purchase.

Kiosk location What to bring Top-up at this kiosk
Incheon Airport Passport + 8-digit voucher Korean won only
Seoul Station · Busan Station Passport + 8-digit voucher Cash in won or a foreign credit card
Gimpo Airport · Gimhae Airport Passport + 8-digit voucher Cash in won or a foreign credit card

⚠️ Looking up the card code ends your refund

The K-Tour Pass can be refunded only while nothing has been used. Looking up the WOWPASS issuance code inside the mobile ticket already counts as use. If you are not sure about your trip yet, wait before you open that code. The card design is assigned at random from three versions and cannot be changed.

How to load money on the card

Think of the card as two wallets in one plastic shell. One wallet pays at shops and restaurants. The other pays for subways and buses. Each one is filled in its own way.

1

Fill the payment wallet

At a kiosk you can load cash in won or charge a foreign credit card. In the WOWPASS app or on the web, only a foreign credit card works.

2

Fill the T-money transit wallet

Top up T-money at a convenience store or a subway station, or move part of your WOWPASS balance to T-money inside the app.

3

Pay and ride

Tap the card at card terminals anywhere in Korea and at subway or bus readers. Cash-only shops will not accept it.

WOWPASS questions K-Tour Pass buyers ask

Many visitors already carry a WOWPASS card from an earlier trip. You can still buy the K-Tour Pass.

If a card is already registered to the same passport, switch to the new card inside the WOWPASS app

. The card itself lasts a long time. It can be topped up and used for up to six years from the date it was made, long after the K-Tour Pass coupons expire on December 31, 2026. That makes the free card the one part of the pass that keeps working on your next visit to Korea. Losing it is not the end either. Any WOWPASS kiosk in the country can issue a replacement for KRW 4,000. The Incheon Airport kiosk deserves one more note. It only takes Korean won for top-ups, so if you land without cash, either pick up the card there and load it later or use a foreign credit card at another kiosk or in the app. Seoul Station is a convenient second chance on the way into the city. Remember that the card is not the ticket for the free attraction. Entry and partner discounts use the barcode in your K-Tour Pass mobile ticket, shown live on your phone.

📊 What the card costs you

The card itself is free with the pass. The only fixed fee is a replacement if you lose it.

A smooth arrival day looks like this. Land at Incheon Airport and use the K-Tour Pass AREX coupon, which takes 50% off a one-way AREX Express ticket, up to KRW 6,000. Before you leave the airport, stop at the K-Tour Pass kiosk with your passport and voucher number. If you carry Korean won, load a little cash on the spot. If you do not, ride into the city and top up later at the Seoul Station kiosk with a foreign credit card, or do it in the WOWPASS app. Then move some of that balance to T-money in the app before your first subway ride. Heading south later in the trip? Busan Station and Gimhae Airport have the same kiosks, so you can also collect the card on arrival in Busan instead. If anything goes wrong, the K-Tour Pass live chat answers daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Korea time. Keep this short list on your phone. It covers the moments when the card most often confuses first-time users.
